John G. Crowe Associates, Inc. was commissioned by a private developer to modify plans for a new 18-hole golf course and to obtain permits and approvals for its construction. This involved redesign of some of the fairways and greens, construction of two new ponds, and the siting of the new clubhouse and parking facilities. The project required a special permit from the town to locate the golf course within a residential zoning district and a variance to build in a floodplain district. Since the site work was adjacent to wetlands, state and local wetland permits were obtained.
