Environmental / Water Quality

Many of our projects begin with site assessment and feasibility studies that address impacts of development on natural site systems, including wetlands, water quality, wildlife, vegetation, geology, and other natural factors. These studies often evolve into production of Environmental Impact Reports or other reports required for mitigating or upgrading existing environmental conditions. If these studies relate to a particular project proposed for development, the factors found during the initial assessment process are integrated into the design and permitting for the project.

In conjunction with our landscape architectural and civil engineering capabilities, our 30 years of experience in wetland identification and analysis, watershed and water quality management, ecological assessment, and environmental permitting has enabled us to develop innovative and self-sustaining approaches to projects that meet the Owner’s needs as well as minimize environmental impact. We have designed and permitted extremely large and complex projects in environmentally sensitive areas, such as public water supplies, rare species wildlife habitats, and archaeological sites.

Our creative and pragmatic approach to regulatory permitting and the public process has enabled us to expedite potentially controversial projects to proceed within the required timeframe and satisfy all affected parties.
